Jaipur’s family sends silver ‘Bhog Thaal’ for Shree Ram

Jaipur: With a decades-long wait coming to a spectacular end with the Ram Temple ‘Pran’ Pratishtha ceremony today, Ayodhya’s Shree Ram Mandir is preparing for a divine spectacle as it unveils a meticulously crafted Silver Bhog Thaal crafted by Jaipur-based IRIS cofounders and father-son duo of Rajeev and Laksh Pabuwal. The sacred vessel sits on a 24k-goldplated base and features a divine portrayal of Lord Hanuman making an offering.

The 7.5 kg Thaal is engraved with 15 Shlokas from the 35th Sarga of Sundarakanda, celebrating Lord Rama and Lakshmana’s virtues. Adding to the divine aura, the center showcases an engraving of Surya Deva, surrounded by three depictions of Lord Rama.

The ‘Bhog Thaal’ features lotus-shaped bowls for daily offerings to Ram Lalla, embodying completeness, purity, and devotion. A silver Kalash, cradled by four horses symbolising Lord Rama’s divine chariot, sits atop the ‘Thaal,’ surrounded by nine symbols representing cosmic order and Lord Rama’s divine attributes. The symbols include Om, Swastika, Bow and Arrow, Pankhi, Surya Deva, Kalash, Shankha, Lord Rama’s Tilak, and Dhwaj (Flag).

These symbols collectively create a sacred aura, enriching the divine ambiance of Shree Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The intricately designed ‘Thaal’ promises to enhance the spiritual experience with its profound symbolism and exquisite craftsmanship.
