Jaipur: College Student commits suicide after being blackmailed

A college student, Ajay Singh Sodha (23), committed suicide by jumping in front of train in Jaipur on Wednesady afternoon. He wrote a suicide note on Facebook mentioning name of a boy-girl duo, who were blackmailing him. A case of abetment to suicide has been registered at the police station on Thursday afternoon on behalf of the young man's uncle.

SI Chhagan Lal Dangi stated that Ajay Singh, a resident of Krishna Kunj Colony of Khora Bisal, lived with his parents and younger brother Gaurav. Ajay Singh was a BA final year student from a private college. On Wednesday morning, Ajay and Gaurav went to their respective college centers on different bikes to appear for the exam.

At around 12 pm, Ajay jumped in front of the train near Kanakpura Hathoj Gate. A person took him in an ambulance to SMS Hospital in critical condition. Ajay died during treatment in the hospital at around 3 pm.
