Jaipur: Cobbler, sole breadwinner succumbs to electric shock; could this be avoided?

Jaipur: In a shocking update from the capital city Jaipur, Guneshwar Ram, a cobbler by profession died after suffering electric shock from high-tension wire in the proximity of Vidyut Nagar, a prime location in the city. Soon after the incident, The First India journalist Soubhagya Sharma spotted the victim as he was crossing the area for his duty calls. He later rushed the victim to the Sawai Man Singh Hospital (SMS), where he was taken immediately to the burn ward. Till late evening, his family could not be contacted and police were informed which somehow managed to get in touch with the relatives.

Guneshwar Ram (35), native of Bihar, is survived by his wife and 3 children and was the sole breadwinner in the family, narrates his distant relative. As per the doctor at SMS Hospital in Jaipur, any case with burn injuries above 50% is considered lethal and it is very rare that anyone with such severe burns survives. In this case, the victim suffered about 90% electrical burns and was in a critical condition since his admission at the hospital, added the doctor. 

On reaching the spot again for further enquiries, the street vendors nearby said that there was an electrical noise earlier on Friday from the high tension line above Guneshwar's shop. He tried to untangle the branches of the tree from the line to prevent mishap, and suffered severe electrocution in the process.
