According to police, the gang has sold fake mobile phones in Delhi, UP, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh & Raj

Jaipur: The Jaipur police have arrested eight members, including two women of a family of an inter-state gang involved in selling fake branded mobile phones. More than 90 mobile phones have been recovered from them.

Surprisingly, all the cellphones have the same IMEI number. The gang members had been selling fake mobile phones to people citing distress. They sold cell phones for Rs 5,000 to 6,000.

This also includes fake mobile phone purchase bills of many wellknown branded companies.

DCP North Paris Deshmukh said the arrested gang members are from Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

The masterminds of the gang are in Mumbai and Delhi. According to police, in the last two-and-ahalf-years, the gang has sold fake mobile phones in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Police are trying to arrest the other gang members.
