JAI not in service quality award list

Jaipur: Jaipur airport could not find a place in the award list released by Airport Council International for airport service quality.

These awards are given to the best airports in the world. Four airports of India received awards in the Asia Pacific region. But despite recent advancements, Jaipur airport lagged for the seventh consecutive year in quality of service.

Two airports of the country are listed in the category of passenger load of more than four crores. These awards went to Delhi’s IGI Airport and Mumbai’s CSMI Airport. Chandigarh Airport in the category of 20 to 50 lakh annual passenger load and Hyderabad Airport in the category of 1.5 to 2.5 crore passenger load got the award.

The last time Jaipur Airport had received these awards was way back in 2015 and 2016. Even with the recent advancements and developments done at the JAI, it’s failure to make it in the list this year as well, raises quetions.
