It’s magic! Transport Dept’s revenue collection to touch Rs 6K cr by March

Jaipur: The pandemic had affected the revenue collection campaign of the Transport Department and it could not earn the expected revenue in the last two years, but this financial year, the department has crossed the total revenue received in the last financial year in the month of February itself. The department received a total revenue of Rs 4,758 crore in the last financial year. But this February, the department earned Rs 4,771 crore. The transport department in the last financial year by March had earned a revenue of up to Rs 1,000 crore but it is expected that by the end of this financial year, the department may touch the magical figure of Rs 6,000 crore.

Transport Commissioner Kanhaiyalal Swamy is monitoring the revenue campaign on a daily basis. On Thursday, the Transport Commissioner held a meeting of all RTOs and DTOs and gave instructions to work according to the revenue target of March.
