Is ED gearing up for Rajasthan?

Jaipur: The REET exam paper leak case has now taken a major turn as after the Special Operations Group, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also entered the scene. According to sources, the ED had summoned state government’s senior officer for questioning and after a long interrogation, the officer’s statements were recorded.

ED’s action has now created a furore in the political and administrative circles as it is feared that now ED, through its interrogation, may also ‘tighten its grip’ around individuals at the ‘top’. As such ED has kept its actions till now completely secret and under the wraps. Word is that before the officer went and even after his return from ED office, the CMO has been taken under complete confidence.

It is well known that cash transactions worth crores of rupees have been undertaken in REET and MP Kirori Lal Meena has made several startling revelations in the matter and since the matter pertains to money laundering, ED has got a chance to enter the field.

Word is that after preparations that spanned over several weeks the ED has put its hand in the matter and now issues such as security and distribution work being handed to private individuals and the extremely sensitive and secret issue of printing press for the paper being changhed and in its place another press being used are also under ED’s investigative jurisdition. It is worth noting that when this matter erupted, the Education department was in the hands of PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra.
