IPD tower to remain 24 floors: Gajendra Singh

Jaipur: Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar on Tuesday expressed the need to make the IPD Tower 24 storeys high. The tower is under construction on the premises of SMS Hospital in Jaipur.

Highlighting the need for ample parking, the health department urged for provisions for at least 600 cars. Accordingly, the hospital administration, JVP, and PWD were tasked with assessing various proposals through joint site inspections.

Kharra asked officers to submit a feasibility report within a week, stipulating that approval for mortuary and parking building designs hinges on this report. Moreover, SMS Hospital administration was instructed to approve all designs pertaining to IPD Tower by June 30. No other drawing/map will be considered after this.

A consensus was reached to maintain the IPD Tower’s height at 24 storeys. JDC emphasized the importance of continuous payments to expedite construction, proposing contributions from other departments.

The UDH Minister instructed officials to transfer the contribution fund to the Jaipur Development Authority. Accelerating the IPD Tower’s completion was a key focus, with Minister Kharra issuing pertinent directives.

It was informed in the meeting that the Cardiology Building’s construction will be completed by August 31. JDA was tasked with expediting land acquisition and tender approvals. JDC informed that 67% of the project work has been completed.
