Jaipur: Rajasthan Millet Conclave 2023 is being organized in Jaipur under the International Millet Year wherein Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot was the chief guest of the conclave on Monday. Gehlot, in his address at the conclave, stressed the need for continuous new research in the agriculture sector. He honored the farmers, as well as inaugurated the exhibition related to millet products.

CM Gehlot, while talking to the media after the Rajasthan Millet Conclave, advocated bringing a social security law in the country. Gehlot said, “We are giving pensions to 1 crore people in different categories. In Rajasthan, pension is being given to the elderly, widow, disabled, and other categories. Every family in the country should get social security. The central government should bring the law of the Right to Social Security. This is our religion as well as duty. That’s why I have raised my voice in the state assembly also that everyone should get an equal pension. We are giving 12 thousand crores as pension whereas the center is giving only 300 crores.”

At the function, CM said that once upon a time we had to beg from America for wheat, but today we have become self-sufficient in wheat due to the green revolution and the construction of dams.
