Income-Tax raids at 17 locations continue for the 3rd consecutive day

Jaipur: Income Tax officials have so far recovered gold and silver jewelery worth about Rs 45 crore in the raids in Pali, Pipliya Kalan and Jodhpur. The jewelery found in the raids of all the three groups has not been fully valued yet and even on the third day.

The recovery of cash in the investigation by Income Tax officials continued even on Thursday and the amount of cash recovered in this operation has now crossed Rs 3.25 crore. Apart from the cash, foreign currency worth about Rs 15 lakh was also seized.

Officials got success during raids at Gogar Group associated with textile, dyeing and printing business and Prem Cables and PG Files group of Pipliya Kalanand at locations of packaging material manufacturer Uma Polymers Group.

The Income Tax Department started raids at the houses and institutions of many businessmen across the state on Tuesday,.
