Illegal mining of quartz in Gulgaon of Tonk stopped

Jaipur: The team of Mines Department on Monday carried out the biggest action on illegal mining of quartz in Gulgaon of Malpura tehsil of Tonk district. The action was taken on the instructions of ACS Vinu Gupta and Mining Director Tarachand Meena.

A raid was conducted on the spot and three excavator machines, three hydraulic cranes, a dumper, a tractor compressor and two tractor trolleys were seized. Soon, the mining mafia fled the spot. The seized vehicles and machines were handed over to Lamba Hari Singh police station.

The Department is continuously monitoring the illegal mining and action is being taken at the source. Recently, action was also taken in Hardi Hardyanpura and other areas of Bassi.
