Illegal mining continues even after strict action for 53 days

Jaipur: For the last 53 days, even after efforts by police, Mines and Forest Department in state, the illegal mining is not stopping. After incident of Braj Chaurasi, the state government had started a campaign against illegal mining from July 21. NK Kothari, the nodal officer of the campaign, said that illegal mining is being monitored and tracked even by drones. Chief Secretary Usha Sharma had even said that illegal mining should be ended by going to the spot and no matter how influential he was, he should not be spared. The DGP had also directed to dispose of the old 3257 FIRs in the illegal mining case and 62 FIRs of assault on government employees in 15 days, although they could not be resolved even in 53 days.
