ILLEGAL MINING: 115 HELD IN JUST 10 DAYS AFTER SADHU’S SACRIFICE

Jaipur: After the suicide of seer Vijay Das in Bharatpur regarding the issue of illegal mining, the state government has got more serious about stopping illegal mining in the state. On the directions of the DGP ML Lather, the police Rajasthan police has taken swift action across the state and Lather has made ADG Law and Order Hawa Singh Ghumaria the nodal officer for this campaign.

Lather said that the campaign against illegal mining is running since July 22 and police has registered a total of 191 cases against the mining mafia till July 31. In this action a total of 115 mining mafia were arrested and 278 vehicles were seized. Along with this, 12,616 tonnes of gravel, stone and soil has been confiscated.
