IAS Prithvi Raj appointed as Secretary to Guv Bagade!

Jaipur: The 2002 batch IAS officer, Prithvi Raj has been appointed as the Secretary of Governor Haribhau Bagade. According to sources, although many IAS met the new Governor - including Bhaskar A Sawant, Vikas Sitaram Bhale, Bhavani Detha, Nakate Shivprasad Madan, and Prithvi Raj - and speculations were being made on their names in the bureaucracy, but the order was issued for Prithvi Raj.

Prithvi Raj was currently serving as Secretary of Labour. He has been transferred thrice during the BJP government. First, he was given the responsibility of the Agriculture Department and then the Sports and Youth Departments. But he was soon transferred from both the posts.

Prithvi Raj will take over the charge from the current Secretary Gaurav Goyal in the Raj Bhavan. Gaurav played a short innings of 6 months in Raj Bhavan and according to sources, in this short tenure, Gaurav made the administration of Raj Bhavan extremely transparent and efficient.

According to the information received, the new Governor has also sent a letter to the government to appoint Raj Kumar Sagar, a retired civil servant from Maharashtra, as his OSD. DoP has also issued the relieving order of Gaurav Goyal to the government and Gaurav will be relieved on Tuesday, August 20.
