I-T and ED action at Rawat Misthan Bhandar, Ganpati plaza continues

Jaipur: The Income Tax Department’s search on the premises of Rawat Misthan Bhandar continued on Wednesday.
The search began after the authorities uncovered Rs 30 lakh in cash and important documents stored in a private locker located at Ganpati Plaza.

The IT action on private lockers has caused panic and unease among locker holders who have received summons from the department.

Consequently, they have started contacting the tax authorities.
As of now, 6 to 7 lockers have been opened and inspected, but there are still around a dozen high-risk lockers that remain unexplored.

Some of the summoned locker holders have yet to respond or contact the Income Tax department.
BJP MP Kirori Lal Meena had alleged black money and illegal gold to be stored in these lockers.
