Home Ministry nod for more CISF cover at Jaipur airport

Jaipur: The security system at Jaipur International Airport will be strengthened after the Union Home Ministry gave permission to increase the number of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Jaipur airport. At present, 547 personnel of CISF are stationed at the Jaipur Airport but later it will be 794.

The Adani Airport Administration is planning to restart Terminal-1 from November and for which more CISF personnel will have to be appointed. So far, CISF personnel are deployed only in certain parts at Terminal-1. An additional 247 CISF personnel will be required. Now there will be two deputy commandants, five new posts of Assistant Commandant have been created, there will be seven Assistant Commandants, 16 new inspectors will be there making the total number 30. There will be 148 sub inspectors, 144 Assistant Sub Inspectors, 95 head constables, 327 Constable (General Duty). From October, not only domestic but international passengers will also increase. The proposal for increasing the number of CISF jawans was sent by the Jaipur Airport Administration months ago.
