Holi: Trains packed to capacity, airlines get fewer reservations

Jaipur: The Railways are all set to witness a mad rush of people for the upcoming festival of ‘Holi’. Trains from Jaipur to States like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal have been booked up to capacity while the reservation waiting has also gone much beyond 100. However, private airline companies are seeing fewer reservations for Holi despite their low air fares.

As per the current price, airfare from Mumbai to Jaipur for Holi is Rs 3,600. Similarly, air travel from Chennai to Jaipur will be around Rs 6,100. The fares this year are even less than during the pandemic period. Despite this, there are very few bookings for the festive season.
