HIGH COMMAND’S ‘SANJEEVANI’ TO TIWARI

Jaipur: BJP’s RS candidate Ghanshyam Tiwari, who has been MLA and minister in the BJP government many times, has been given a political ‘sanjeevni’ by the high command. Before the last assembly elections, due to differences with the then CM Vasundhara Raje, he left BJP and formed Bharat Vahini Party and unsuccessfully contested from Sanganer.

After this, Tiwari joined the Congress but he could not stay there for long. He returned to the BJP fold on December 12, 2020. Now it is being speculated whether this is a political rehabilitation of Tiwari or does the High Command want to give any political message in Rajasthan?

Tiwari shared a close relationship with CM Ashok Gehlot, despite differing ideologies. It is said that Tiwari had joined Congress only after being asked by CM Gehlot, but after that neither Tiwari was given any major responsibility in the organisation nor was he adjusted anywhere in political appointments.

The leaders associated with the RSS had played an important role in getting Tiwari to reenter BJP. BJP State President Satish Poonia also played an important role. BJP is also preparing to field candidates for two seats.

Tiwari’s history of opposing Raje made him a natural candidate for that faction which wants to establish complete supremacy over state unit. The issue isn’t only RS polls but of future road map also. Now a section has to think about decision to be taken next? Overall, “magician’s eyes” are fixed on the equation and he may take political advantage anytime.
