HC forms committee to resolve policemen promotion issue

Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court has ordered to constitute a committee in the matter involving promotions of police constables to head constables and head constables from the Assistant Sub-Inspector. The single bench of Justice Inderjit Singh ordered a committee comprising ACS Home, Personnel Secretary and ADG Recruitment. The high court has granted a time of six months to the police department to submit its reports. In the petition filed by one Hari Singh and others, advocate Shobhit Tiwari informed the court that the state government has not done the calculation of vacant posts of policemen for the year 2013-2014 and 2015-2016, due to which their promotion process is getting affected. During the hearing, the court ordered a committee to resolve the matter.
