Hardcore criminals to be produced in court via VC

Jaipur: Rajasthan police will form committees at district level for the identification of such criminals lodged in various jail who have risk of being attacked while being taken for hearing in courts. Principal secy home Anand Kumar held a meeting of senior officers in the wake of the murder of a criminal while being taken for hearing in a Bharatpur court on Wednesday.

A list of such criminals lodged in jails in different districts will be prepared. Such criminals will be produced through video conferencing like the high security jail of Ajmer due to security reasons.

SPs of the concerned district, where criminal has to be produced and where the jail is located, will provide adequate security arrangements for movement and such prisoners will be sent in a police vehicle instead of a normal bus.

On Jagheena Murder, DG Mishra said that the investigation into the incident of firing at Amoli toll plaza in Bharatpur district has been handed over to IG Crime Prafulla Kumar and he has reached Bharatpur.
