Guv stresses on growth in education sector

Jaipur: Governor Kalraj Mishra, while addressing a group discussion on ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ and ‘Voice of Youth’ workshop at Raj Bhavan on Monday, has called upon the Vice-Chancellors of Universities, academicians and experts in various fields to take the country forward with a growth rate of 8 to 9 percent in education as well as in various other sectors for ‘Viksit Bharat-2047’. For this, he has emphasized on ensuring maximum participation of youths in environmental protection along with inclusive development, last mile development reach, investment promotion by strengthening infrastructure and skill development. He said that for India’s global role in the future, priorities should be set in various sectors and work on them should be started.

Mishra stressed upon the Vice-Chancellors of the universities to work for a strong and prosperous India by strengthening higher education. He said that youths should be linked more with the thinking of developed India. He expressed the need to create such courses in universities which can equip the youth with skills as well as develop their future vision. He said that we should develop an education system in our country which would inspire others to come to India and study.

On the occasion of completion of 100 years of independence by 2047, Mishra made a commitment to rebuild the education system to motivate youths from abroad to come to study in Indian universities. He also called for working at all levels to ensure the direct role of youths in developed India in 2047 by studying the education systems of countries like the USA, UK, Japan, Germany, Singapore, South Korea, etc.

The Governor said that by 2027, India will become the third largest economy in the world and the education sector has a huge role in this. He also stressed on working towards ensuring effective supply of clean water and electricity to every household along with better education and health services in the country and effectively providing housing and basic amenities to all.
