Jaipur: Governor Kalraj Mishra on Wednesday said that the doctors who did not even care for their lives in this critical period of Corona, they are an example for entire society.
Mishra was virtually addressing a programme ‘Doctors Day Eve’ organised by Pvt Hosps, Nursing Homes Society & Mahatma Gandhi University. While paying homage to doctors & health workers who were martyred during corona, he said that life is God-given, but only doctors do work of saving this life.
Guv also prayed to God to grant peace to souls of 79 doctors who dedicated their lives for patients & remembered Bharat Ratna Dr BC Roy saying he never gave up work of med services even as CM of Bengal.
A tribute to Corona Martyrs!
The Doctors’ Day Eve was organised in Mahatma Gandhi University, Sitapura under the auspices of Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes Society on Wednesday, June 30. This 14th edition of Doctor’s Day Eve was organised virtually to pay a tribute to the late doctors and gratitude to their families.
Kalraj Mishra, Governor of Rajasthan was the chief guest for this event. Dr Vijay Kapoor, Secretary PHNHS shared that Emeritus Chairperson of Mahatma Gandhi University, Dr ML Swarankar, Chairperson Dr Vikas Chandra Swarankar and president Dr Sudhir Sachdev were the distinguished guests for this event.
The program was presided over by the President of the PHNHS, Dr Sanjay Arya. On the occasion, the messages sent by Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot and Health minister Raghu Sharma were also read out.
Dr Atul Purohit, Dr Jitendra Makkar and Dr Vijay Kapoor gave a musical tribute to the doctors who lost their lives while saving the nation from the pandemic. In the program, families of 79 doctors who died during the Corona period were presented with mementoes in the form of virtual respect.
Chief guest Kalraj Mishra, who joined the event virtually, said that in this pandemic era, the contribution of doctors can never be forgotten as they are the ones who give rebirth to so many.
Dr ML Swarnkar requested everyone to follow all the precautions of Corona as the only cure to this virus is the vaccine and until the whole country is vaccinated, the public and govt need to contribute equally to stay safe.
