Guv calls for honouring soldiers, their families

Jaipur: Governor Kalraj Mishra, while addressing a function organized at the Army’s Saptashakti Auditorium on the 8th Armed Forces Veterans’ Day on Sunday, called upon everyone to honour the services of the ex-servicemen and their families who have sacrificed for nation and provide every possible support to them.

Remembering the first Indian Commander-inChief of the IAF, Field Marshal KM Cariappa, Mishra said that his retirement day is celebrated as Armed Forces Ex-Servicemen Day.

He recited poet Makhanlal Chaturvedi’s ‘Pushp Ki Abhilasha and said that soldiers also wish to sacrifice themselves for the nation. He called for effective implementation of schemes for the welfare of soldiers.
