Guidelines issued for free OPD & IPD

Jaipur: The Rajasthan govt has issued a guideline for free treatment in OPD and IPD of govt hospitals. According to the guidelines issued by principal secy education Vaibhav Galriya and health secy Dr Prithvi, HoD will be able to give recommendations if a patient needs medicine up to Rs 10,000 per month.

If the value of any medicine is more than 1 lakh rupees per month, then the medicine will be written only on the recommendation of a committee constituted at SMS Medical College level. Under the scheme, Janaadhar card has been made mandatory for all patients of OPD and IPD.

The govt has also issued instructions regarding medicines. In case the medicine is not available from RMSCL, instructions have been given to purchase the medicines at lowest rate from various other options. Also, instructions were given to register details of these medicines in e-aushadhi. The list of availability of medicines from medical college to PHC level has also been released.
