Gratuity for State employees hiked from Rs 20L to Rs 25L
Jaipur: Several key decisions were made regarding employee welfare, farmers’ welfare, power system improvements, and rail transport development in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. The cabinet approved increasing the maximum gratuity and death gratuity for state employees from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. Deputy Chief Minister Dr Prem Chand Bairwa announced that employees will now have the option to include either their parents or in-laws for medical benefits under RGHS, provided they are dependent and reside with the employee.
Additionally, dependents of deceased employees will receive a family pension at an enhanced rate for 10 years, matching central employee benefits.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel informed that in order to strengthen the rail transport system of the state and to develop industries like marble, granite and mining, the construction of new railway line connecting Shri Nathdwara to Mewar and Marwar is being expedited in collaboration with Centre.
He informed that the Cabinet meeting approved the allocation of a total of 42.1576 hectares of land of Rajsamand, Devgarh, Nathdwara and Amet subdivisions of Rajsamand district to the Railway Ministry for the Nathdwara-DevgarhMadariya gauge conversion project.
The meeting also approved the 11 KVa feeder segregation for agricultural feeders under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), with 7,522 works to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 7,896 crore.
During the Cabinet meeting of the Bhajan Lal Government land allotments were approved for four solar power projects totaling 3,000 MW.
A proposal to allot 50.42 hectares of land in village Barju of Pugal tehsil of Bikaner to Bikaner-3 Neemrana Transmission Limited for establishment of 765/400 /220 KV substation has been approved during the meeting on Wednesday. The establishment of these projects based on solar energy will increase regional employment opportunities in state and increase the revenue. The government is also working with commitment for the development of MSME enterprises in the state. In this sequence, the Union MSME Ministry has been approved to allocate 12 acres of land under the JDA’s Dahmikalan Institute Scheme for setting up a technology center in Jaipur.
With this, the youth will be able to get training in advanced technology related to MSME sector and will develop skills and efficiency in them.
