Govt to give free plots to gallantry award winners

Jaipur: The recipients of Param Vir Chakra, Mahavir Chakra, Vir Chakra, Ashok Chakra, Shaurya Chakra, and Kirti Chakra will get plots for free in Rajasthan.The state government has issued a notification for making changes in land disposal rules in this regard. In such cases, a plot of up to 220 square meters will be given.

Till now, the plot was given at 50 percent of the reserved rate in these cases. Olympic and Para Olympic medalists used to get free plots under the rules but now the gallant defence personnel will also get the free lands.
