Govt removes compulsion on regularisation of land

Jaipur: A new way has now been opened in the matters of regularisation of colonies and residential land situated on government land in cities across the state. The State government has removed compulsion on regularisation of land in excess of ownership in the cities. Now any amount of extra land can be regulated.

The Urban Development and Housing and the Local Self Government departments on July 4, 2022 issued orders in this regard.

The regularisation will be up to additional 300 sqm in excess of ownership and can be done at the level of the concerned body. Additional land of more than 300 sqm will also be regulated. The regularisation can be done after approval from the state government.

Till now regularisation of surplus land was possible only up to the prescribed size. The 10% of the original plot or 300 sqm, whichever was less, the additional land up to that size could be regulated.
