Govt releases Rs 25 crore aid for Biparjoy affected districts
Jaipur: The Disaster Management Secretary PC Kishan, during a meeting held at the secretariat under the chairmanship of CS Usha Sharma on Saturday, said that a total of Rs 25 crore have been given for relief works in Biparjoy cyclone affected districts.
Sharma instructed the collectors to complete the relief work at the earliest. It was told in the meeting that Pali, Sirohi, Jalore, Barmer and Rajsamand have suffered maximum damage due to the storm, while Ajmer, Tonk, Bharatpur, Karauli, Dhaulpur and Sawai Madhopur are among the less damaged districts. It was informed through a videoconference about the number of damaged school buildings, electricity poles, livestock and roads. According to an estimate, there has been a loss of up to Rs 500 crore in five districts. As per SDRF rules, Rs 2 lakh is given for the construction of a damaged school building, Rs 50,000 for a broken electric pole, Rs 30,000 for milch animals.
