Govt relaxes 'two-child policy' for government employees

Jaipur: The State government on Thursday, relaxed the two-child policy which was applicable to the State government employees. Till now, the government employees having more than two children were ineligible for promotion and increment. But now, such government employees will get seniority and promotion from the same year from which their promotion got due. Education Minister Dr BD Kalla while addressing the Assembly on Wednesday, informed that rules regarding the ‘two-child policy’ have been amended & employees having two kids will also be promoted.

As per the notification issued by the Department of Personnel, employees with more than three children will be given promotion in the same year. However, the actual benefits of increment will be available after three years. Also, for these three years, the employee will get only notional benefit of increment.
