Govt extends liquor licence period by three months till June

Jaipur: The government has extended the license period of existing liquor shops in Rajasthan by three months. Now the existing shop operators will be able to operate these shops till June 30.

Shop operators whose guarantee (target amount for depositing tax by selling liquor) has not been fulfilled, have been given permission to deposit this amount till June 30. However, more than half of these are not in favor of renewing the license because at present these shops are not able to meet their target, due to which their operators now want to close them by 31st March.
