Govt construction work: Dr Subodh Agarwal reviews M-sand policy implementation in Raj

Jaipur: The state government is now serious about using at least 25 per cent Manufactured sand (M-Sand) of the total quantity of gravel used in government construction works. Additional Chief Secretary Mines, Petroleum and Water Subodh Agarwal informed that the state government has implemented Msand policy in the state to promote its use as a cheap and easy alternative to gravel. He said that as per the policy, it is mandatory to use at least 25 percent M-sand as an alternative to gravel in government construction works. Now, a total of 36 Msand units in the state have started producing 12 million tonnes annually. Agarwal was reviewing the progress of the policy with Director Mines KB Pandya and officers at the Secretariat on Thursday.
