Govt approves expansion of health workforce in Raj

Jaipur: Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh held a meeting of the Medical and Health Department and Medical Education Department at Swasthya Bhavan on Monday.

In the meeting, he approved the proposal to increase 2713 posts of contractual nurses, female health workers and CHOs advertised in the years 2022 and 2023 under the National Health Mission. Now the proposal for recruitment to a total of 9890 posts will be sent to the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board.

Additional CS, Medical and Health Shubhra Singh informed that in the year 2023, out of 1588 posts of contractual nurses, 750 posts will be increased, out of 2058 posts of contractual female health workers, 1000 posts will be increased. Besides, out of 3531 posts of Community Health Officer (CHO), 963 posts have been increased with a total of 4494 posts.
