Governor Kalraj Mishra honours 10 influential women

Jaipur: Governor Kalraj Mishra on Thursday participated in the ‘India Today Women Summit and Awards Ceremony’ organised at a private hotel in the city. While addressing the gathering, the governor stressed on making maximum efforts for women empowerment in the country.

“In a society in which women get opportunities to move forward, development takes place at a faster speed. For the media, it is a social responsibility and they should contribute towards women empowerment. Our Constitution not only guarantees equality for women, it also ensures no discrimination on the basis of gender,” said Governor Kalraj Mishra. On this occasion, ‘India Today’ awards were also given to ten influential women doing great work in various fields.

Governor Kalraj Mishra said that if women get opportunities, they try to excel in all fields. Praising the women who are working in specific fields out of the box, he said that the work done by them will inspire other women too.
