Good understanding between Secy Naveen Jain & Min Meena
Jaipur: When IAS officer Naveen Jain took over as Secretary of Panchayati Raj department a month ago, he inherited a pile of 300 pending files. The files are of 4 months from January to April.
The previous secretary PC Krishna did not write the decision on the files after hearing since January.
In many cases of ACB, further procedure was also kept pending. Now Naveen Jain has started disposing of these files.
It is worth noting that in the previous BJP regime, Naveen Jain had made a record of being on the post of Mission Director of NHM for four and a half years but this record has turned upside down in this government.
In three and a half years, Naveen was transferred for half a dozen times. In the previous posting, he was Secretary in the Food and Civil Supplies department and Planning department for a hundred days.
He had a confrontation with the Food and Civil Supplies minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas from the very first day, and the minister got him transferred.
In Planning, he had become the bureaucrat of choice and close to the Chief Secretary Usha Sharma, yet the planning department was taken away from him. The reason is still unknown.
It is leant that now a good understanding has been formed between Panchayati Raj Minister Ramesh Meena and Secretary Naveen Jain.
In a meeting of the department held in Ajmer last week, the minister was very impressed by the performance of Naveen Jain.
