Goel completes term as Raj RERA chief
Jaipur: Rajasthan Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) chairman NC Goel on Wednesday highlighted the achievements of his tenure in the authority on completion of his term.
Goel completed his term on attaining the age of 65 years. He was appointed as the RERA chairman on March 6, 2019.
He said that in the last four years, RERA has been established as a brand and all the process has been done online and services can be availed while sitting at home.
Goel said that RERA took possession of 10 projects while taking action. He informed that today there are 2,500 projects registered in RERA.
After the completion of Goel’s term, the state government has started an exercise for the appointment of the new chairman. The government will issue a release soon to invite applications from interested candidates.
The tenure of the chairman is for a period of five years or till the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier. A high powered committee selects the chairman. The post is equivalent to the additional secretary in the centre.
Sources said that new appointment will not be made soon and the government may give charge to RERA member or principal secretary UDH.
