Get Girdawari work completed without delay: CS

Jaipur: Chief Secretary Usha Sharma has instructed the officials to get the work of special girdawari completed without delay in view of damage to crops due to cold wave, frost, untimely rain, and hailstorm.

The Chief Secretary was on Wednesday presiding over the meeting organized through VC in relation to crop failure. The Chief Secretary said that frost, cold wave and hailstorm have ruined the hard work of farmers. She said that it should be ensured that there is a correct assessment of crop damage. The Chief Secretary instructed the officers to send the girdawari report by the end of the week.

Sharma said that the concerned Patwari should be present on the spot and get this work done. She said that action should be taken by taking the people’s representatives into confidence, as well as the farmers should also be given prior notice of special girdawari.

The CS asked the District Collectors to issue instructions for inspection of girdawari by Land records inspector, Tehsildar and Sub-divisional officer. The Chief Secretary also instructed the officers to conduct all crop cutting experiments online through the CCE app.

Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Horticulture Department Dinesh Kumar, Agriculture Commissioner Kanaram and Special Secretary, Revenue Department Vishwa Mohan Sharma were present in the meeting.
