Gehlot’s ‘Chiranjeevi’ is now CM Ayushman Arogya Yojana

Jaipur: Chiranjeevi Insurance Scheme was renamed as ‘Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana’. However, the conditions of the scheme will remain the same as before.

Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency ACEO Mayank Manish issued the order on Monday. Along with this, it was said that the name of the scheme should be changed on the online portal, all printing material, hoardings, banners, publicity and at the counters of hospitals. Ever since the formation of the Bhajan Lal government, Ashok Gehlot, sometimes requesting and sometimes protesting, had said that this scheme should not be stopped, no matter what name it is given.Keeping in mind Gehlot’s wishes, the Bhajan Lal government has not closed the scheme but has changed the name.

Therefore, following the decision, the name of the scheme is changed accordingly and written as ‘Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana’ on the online portal and all printing materials. The remaining terms and provisions of the scheme will remain the same.
