Gehlot demands aid for farmers hit by heavy rainfall

Jaipur: Continuous heavy rainfall in Rajasthan has severely impacted Kharif crops, prompting the Congress party to demand financial assistance for the affected farmers. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has urged the government to conduct an immediate special survey of the crop damage.

Gehlot stated that the persistent rainfall has caused significant damage to standing Kharif crops, leading to a livelihood crisis for farmers who rely heavily on agriculture. He has called for the govt to initiate a special survey and provide immediate compensation to the farmers.

Additionally, Gehlot highlighted a shortage of DAP (diammonium phosphate) fertilizers, urging the government to address this issue.
