GANGANAGAR RECORDS HIGHEST TURNOUT IN RAJ
Jaipur: Under the first phase of Lok Sabha General Election-2024, peaceful and fair voting took place on Friday in Ganganagar, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Jaipur Rural, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Karauli-Dholpur, Dausa and Nagaur Lok Sabha seats of the state. All voters including newly married couples, disabled, third gender, tribals, old individuals and youth participated enthusiastically in voting at 24,370 polling stations.
CEO Praveen Gupta said that 57.87% estimated voting (including 0.61% postal ballot) has been recorded in these areas and final poll data percentage will be available only by April 20.
DGP UR Sahoo said tight security arrangements were made for free, fair and peaceful voting. The Rajasthan Police, along with companies of the CAPF are deployed to maintain law and order.
