GAD gives 15 days to pending 6000 applicants

Jaipur: The process of govt houses allotment has been done online but still the houses are not being allotted. Removing the difficulties in this regard, the General Administration Department has given 15 days to the pending 6000 applicants of year 2012 to apply afresh and clarify their position. Along with this, the portal of online housing allotment will also be linked to the portal of DoP, so that after the officer retires, 2 months time can be allotted to the other needy applicant.

There has been a system of out-of-turn allocation in the allocation of government accommodation for officers and employees for a long time. If an IAS, IPS or other officer has been posted in Jaipur, then out of turn, the govt accommodation is allotted. The CM and the ministers also make allocations at their level as per the need.

It has also been happening that the dept made the allotment but the allotment letter was not received by the concerned employee and by the time it was received, the period of 15 days for taking possession of the house was over, due to which the personnel had to suffer and the department has to do the allotment process again.
