Funds given for 5,500 new police posts
Jaipur: Finance Minister Diya Kumari unveiled the Bhajan Lal Sharma government’s inaugural full budget on Wednesday, highlighting significant allocations for law enforcement. Emphasizing public safety, CM Sharma’s administration earmarked funds for 5,500 new police posts, including specialized units like the Kalika units for women’s safety. Jaipur Commissionerate will see dedicated security forces, and urban traffic management will benefit from 1,500 volunteers.
The budget also provisions Rs 100 crore for modernizing police equipment and Rs 25 crore for jail reforms. Plans include new police stations and forensic laboratories. This marks a robust effort by the government to enhance Rajasthan Police capabilities amidst evolving challenges.
