Fully prepare for execution of new criminal laws: CS to officials

Jaipur: A review meeting was organised on Monday under the chairmanship of CS Sudhansh Pant regarding the implementation of new criminal laws in the state.

The Chief Secretary said that as per the intent of the new laws, educate all legal professionals, research officers and prosecutors for smooth transition by giving them basic knowledge and understanding of various new provisions. In the meeting, he reviewed the training being given by various departments to their officers and personnel regarding the new criminal laws.

He directed the police training institutes to organise training programmes for police and jail personnel using the ‘Integrated Government Online Training’ (iGOT) Karmayogi portal by the Central Govt. He ordered to prepare an action plan for print, electronic and social media to educate and make the public aware of new laws. The need for resources in the context of replacement of new laws was discussed in the meeting.
