Four awarded honorary doctorate by Guv Mishra
Jaipur: Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra on Monday awarded honorary degree of PhD to international shooter Apurvi Chandela, architect Anoop Bartaria, founder editor of Mahanagar Times Gopal Sharma and Muralimnohar Pathak at a function on Monday.
Mishra also gave gold medals to 16 students and 14 research scholars who have done research in ancient texts in the convocation ceremony of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University, Jaipur.
8,842 degrees of the academic session 2021 were distributed in the ceremony. Addressing the function, the Governor said that Sanskrit language has played an important role in keeping the country’s unity and integrity intact.
He emphasised on promoting Sanskrit by giving a new context for connecting new generations with ancient Indian literature and culture.
Mishra said that initiative should be taken to translate the literature, books related to knowledge and science composed in Sanskrit into other Indian languages along with Hindi so that the ancient knowledge of Sanskrit could be available to the new generation.
