Focus on cleanliness, traffic, tourism & heritage in city’s revamp: Diya Kumari
Jaipur: Various measures for enhancing the development of Jaipur while preserving its heritage and improving the comfort and experience of tourists were discussed in a meeting chaired by deputy CM Diya Kumari on Saturday.
Diya highlighted the influx of tourists to Jaipur and expressed concern over several issues observed during a recent inspection of the walled city area. Problems identified include insufficient cleanliness, lack of signage, excessive posters and banners, overhead wires and cables, and chaotic traffic.
Discussion on improving cleanliness, traffic management and parking, underground utilities, heritage museum and tourist facilities, Jal Mahal conservation and enhancements, Amer Maotha parking were discussed in the meeting.
The Meeting was attended by Principal Secretary UDH Vaibhav Galaria, Chief Wildlife Warden Pawan Kumar Upadhyay, Secretary Tourism Ravi Jain, JDA Commissioner Anandhi, Jaipur Collector Jitendra Kumar Soni, Jaipur Heritage Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abhishek Surana and others.
