Flights filled up to capacity ahead of Xmas & New Year

Jaipur: With Christmas and New Year just round the corner, the Jaipur International Airport is witnessing a huge rush of passengers these days. Despite the rising fares of airline companies, flights are filled up to capacity and tourists from Jaipur are preferring destinations like Goa, Mumbai, Pune, Jaisalmer, and Udaipur.

Jaisalmer, which is the most sought-after destination for new year celebrations for tourists, is also reporting a rush of tourists. The air fare for Jaisalmer has been increased to threefold in the last few days. Similarly, fares for Goa and Mumbai are also very high. This is despite the fact that nearly a dozen flights take off to Mumbai from Jaipur every day and still the airfare is above Rs 20k.

Sources informed that two flights operate daily from Jaipur to Pune and Chandigarh. The airfare for Pune has increased three-fold. One flight operates from Jaipur to Goa and Jaisalmer, due to which these airlines are charging arbitrary fares.
