Five hurt in leopard attack in Chandwaji
Jaipur: Five people were injured after a leopard attacked them in Jaipur’s Chandwaji area in the wee hours of Thursday, police said. The incident occurred around 3 am when the leopard entered the Motuka Bas Dhani in Chandwaji and attacked the villagers who were asleep.
“The leopard later entered the premises of Apex University at around 5 am and injured two more people. The injured had been identified as David Meena (10), his mother Sajna Devi (38) and his father Ramfool Meena (44). While two others who were injured in Apex University were identified as Mukesh Meena (35) and Govind Kumar (35),” police said. “The leopard was tranquilised in the university building by a forest department team. It took four hours to tranquilise the leopard. All the injured are presently undergoing treatment at SMS Hospital and other private hospitals in the city,” police added.
