Jaipur: On the momentous occasion of the 75th Foundation Day of the Rajasthan Police, First India News has embarked on a thoughtful initiative to honour their dedication and service. As a gesture of appreciation, First India News pledged to donate wall clocks to all police stations and offices across Rajasthan, beginning with the inaugural phase of distribution to the police stations in Jaipur. The symbolic presentation took place with First India News CEO and Managing Editor, Pawan Arora, personally handing over 101 wall clocks to Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph.
During the ceremony, Pawan Arora commended the proactive efforts of the Jaipur Police under the leadership of Commissioner Biju George Joseph in swiftly addressing criminal activities. In response, Commissioner Biju George Joseph warmly welcomed Pawan Arora to the Commissionerate and expressed gratitude to First India News for their community-minded initiative. He lauded the channel not only for its prominence in the realm of news but also for its commitment to social causes.
The event was marked by discussions on various pertinent issues between Commissioner Biju George Joseph and Pawan Arora, including the operational hours of clubs, pubs, and bars. Commissioner Biju George Joseph outlined the regulatory measures adopted by the Jaipur Police, stipulating that clubs and pubs must close by midnight, whereas restaurants not serving alcohol are permitted to operate until 1 am. This measure aims to safeguard the youth from distractions like drugs, ensuring their focus remains on education rather than nightlife.
Addressing concerns from residents about noise pollution caused by clubs in residential areas, Commissioner Biju George Joseph clarified that there is no blanket ban on bars, pubs, and clubs operating within hotels or designated areas. Pawan Arora, in turn, suggested broader municipal and city planning actions to regulate clubs operating in residential areas which is a nuisance to the local residents , proposing collaboration with the JDA and JMC for enhanced enforcement.
Meanwhile, Biju also briefed Arora on recent launch of the Nazar App, aimed at enhancing public safety by providing real-time information on crime prevention, law enforcement updates, and road accident prevention within the city.
