First implement RTH in govt hosps: Docs
Jaipur: The doctors will continue the agitation regarding the Right to Health Act amid the rounds of talks with the government officials. The talks with the private doctors were held in the secretariat on Monday also in which the doctors put their side in front of the government.
They demanded to implement the RTH law first in government medical institutions under a pilot project. Apart from this, there was also talk about the problems related to the payment of RTH. There is also a demand to improve the emergency package and include it in Chiranjeevi-RGHS.
A doctors’ delegation held talks with Medical Education Secretary T Ravikant and other officials on Monday. Dr Ashok Sharda, Dr Rajasekhar, Dr Vijay Kapoor and other doctors were involved in the talks.
After the meeting, the doctors said that the talks were held in a positive environment but their movement will continue till there is no solution.
The State government is serious about the demands of serving doctors and has invited All Rajasthan In-service Doctors Association for the talks. Joint Secretary Nimisha Gupta has sent a letter to Association’s State President Dr Ajay Chaudhary for talks on 5 April.
