Finance dept rejects RSRTC proposal of 5k recruitments

Jaipur: In a big blow to the Rajasthan Roadways management, the proposal of 5200 new recruitments has been rejected by Finance Department. There is an unprecedented crisis of staff in roadways. Direct recruitment for 8400 posts are running vacant. Shortage of staff has affected work and the roadways have to manage with contractual staff only. The problem is not likely to end soon as the proposal of recruitment has been rejected citing economic crisis in roadways.

There has been no direct recruitment in Roadways for last nine years.
