File FIR if you have evidence of BJP buying MLAs: Shekhawat
Jaipur: Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Monday termed the statement of CM Ashok Gehlot as “irresponsible”. Ashok Gehlot had said that Vasundhara Raje and two other BJP leaders helped save his government during the 2020 rebellion by some Congress MLAs.
"Vasundhara Raje is our senior leader. She has been the Chief Minister two times and has also been the state president twice. He gave such an irresponsible statement only for his political benefit and to give a message to his opponents. I ask Gehlot to make full disclosure of when, where, and in what way he was supported," Shekhawat said at a press conference in Jaipur.
Shekhawat said that if Gehlot had evidence to support his claim that BJP gave money to Congress MLAs then he should register an FIR against the parties involved. He also said the leaders of his party were exploring legal ways to challenge Gehlot's assertion.
The minister said that in the matter an unknown person from Beawar was arrested under sedition and then the case was withdrawn.
“Case is filed against Gajendra Singh, Bhanwar Lal Sharma, and Sanjay Jain. Sanjay Jain is arrested but they share coffee with Bhanwarlal. Vishvendra Singh and others are named in the third suit. Then in that case no voice sample is taken. You are misusing agencies,” he said.
